The Kitten...

Here's three pictures of my brother, Nick, with the kitten we found the other week. I think he calls her "Little Miss Monkey" or something. Well, I told you before (in my regular blog) that I thought he was just going to keep the kitten until Christmas, when the kitten would move in with my sister Alison in Ottawa. Apparently, Nick's roommate, whose name I forget, so I'll just pretend it's "Lyman"**, also really likes the cat, so he'll be able to take care of her while Nick goes to the various places he wants to visit next year. I suppose it's for the better, but that means I won't get to see her at Christmas. 
I think "Lyman" took the pictures.
**get it? A guy with a heterosexual roommate who owns a cat should always be called "Lyman".  Well, I think it's funny, for those of you that get the reference...

Gah! Did anyone see that new Star Wars movie?

The one which opened today, May 25th, 1977? What totally wooden acting, and those annoying robots made this film feel like too much of a kids movie. And we're supposed to root for this Han Solo fellow, but he killed that Greedo guy, and he clearly shot first! They should fix it so that Greedo shoots first. And Chewbacca is obviously just some guy in a furry suit... if only there was a better way to render aliens. It would be cool if we could learn a little more about Chewbacca's background, like if there was some sort of, say, holiday special which features his wife, Malla, his father, Itchy, and his son, Lumpy. It would be cute if Lumpy received a wooden X-Wing Fighter as a "Life Day" present. And... ooh, maybe there could be some sort of virtual reality porn sequence featuring Diahann Carroll.
All I can say is that George Lucas so totally raped my childhood, even though I'm only 2 ½ years old at this point. And we haven't even quite moved from England to Canada yet, chap.
(What is the point of being able to date your posts as far back as 1975?)
